Annapurna Panorama, a wonderful Family Adventure Lodge Trek (Horse Riding), 10 Days

Annapurna panorama trek is one of the world famous and classical treks in the world. In this trek you have a chance to see & explore the real typical village with its traditional lifestyle. This Annapurna trek starting from the lakeside town of Pokhara valley and follow roughly; forest trails past nice traditional villages and through serene landscapes on a country side. Ghandruk is a modern village of Nepal carries its own culture, life style and panoramic scenery of Himalayas also another attraction place for trekkers. During the trekking on lower place we will reaches at Poon Hill from where can see wonderful panoramic views of the valley of deepest gorge and some of the highest mountains range of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasalu with holy Mt. Fishtail to the northern part. Throughout the trek you'll see close up views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail Mountain) and may have explore the local lifestyle, culture, climate and topography. During the trek we appreciate the magnificent oak and rhododendron forests as we ascend to alpine meadows that afford spectacular views of the Annapurna Range. This may have good choice for anyone who are looking for introductory trek on a limited timescale as well as a good choice for family trek as well with beginners.

Itinerary in details

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1340m,

You'll be met at the airport by our representative from the company, so look out for a office sign/logo with your name when you leave the airport. They will bring you back to the Hotel. Welcome drinks will provide by Hotel and short briefing about your treks and refreshment. Stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 800m and trek to Tikhedunga 1540m (3/4 hours).
Up early for our short but scenic flight to Pokhara, 198 kilometers west of Kathmandu. You will fly high above the north-south Rivers flowing down towards the Terai from the Himalaya and Tibet, over terraced villages and green hills with the Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu and massif Annapurna ranges in the distance, to balmy, sub-tropical Pokhara. Our car will pick up you from airport and drive to Naya Pul which takes about 1 and half hour by private car. The trail leads you down to a hanging bridge over a small stream and afterwards walks through a barrage of tea stalls along the east bank of Modi Khola until reaching Birethanti where you will check in your permits. The left hand trail leads you winding through bamboo forests and past the several waterfalls. The trail stays on the north bank of Bhurungdi Khola until Sudami. Then the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to reach Hille and further walk up to Tikhedunga. Stay overnight in Lodge.

Day 3: Trek from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani 2750m (5/6 hours).

The trail crosses by suspension bridge over the Tikhedunga Khola and the trail climbs very steeply on a stone staircase that is said to have more than 3500 steps and the unrelenting staircase continues to reach Ulleri village after 2 hours walking. Now you can see the good view of Machhapuchre, Hiun Chuli and Annapurna South. Then above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields and soon gives a way to deep forests as the trail climbs to Banthanti. Then after you walk through the magnificent oak and rhododendron forests passing sparkling clear streams, a small ridge and another stream before making a short final climb to Nangethanti. An hour walking through the rhododendron forests to reach at Ghorepani, a village of Magar peoples. The mountains are visible from your lodges which are in nice weather and stay overnight in Lodge.

Day 4: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani 2590m (5/6 hours).
Early in the morning, an hour’s climb from Ghorepani to Poon Hill through the busses of Rhododendrons forests for the spectacular view of high Mountains stretches from Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Tukuche Peak 6920m, Nilgiri 6940m, Baraha Shikhar 7847m, Mt. Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna South 7219m, Annapurna III 7855m, Machhapuchhre 6993m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Annapurna II 7937m, Lamjung Himal 6931m and unobstructed view of sunrise over the Himalayas is a defining moment. You can enjoy with brilliant view of mountains and sunrise view. Then you return back to Lodge and will have your breakfast. After that, the trail steeply ascending until Deurali-La on a grassy knoll that offers good Mountain views similar to those from Poon Hill which takes 2 hours from Ghorepani. Then the trail descends through deep rhododendron forest until reaching Banthanti which takes about 2 hours and where you will have your lunch. Sometime you can see the wild animals like monkeys and local birds during the jungle trail. After lunch, cross the north side of stream and it will offer great views over the gorge to Ulleri. A rocky trail descends steeply to small stream and climbing again dishearteningly through deep forests to Tadapani, a village which is surrounded by beautiful forests. You can see more magnificent view of Machhapuchre, Annapurna South, Hiun Chuli and Annapurna II etc. Stay overnight in Lodge.

Day 5: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk 1940m (3/4 hours).
In the morning, after breakfast your trek slightly descending through the deep forests until reaching Baise Kharka which takes an hour of smooth walking and descends again in the sub-tropical forest until reaching Ghandruk village and which almost takes about 2 hours. You will have lunch. You can see a very good view of Fish Tail, Annapurna South and other small snowy peak. Afternoon you will go to visit the Buddhist Monastery and Old Traditional Gurung Museum. Stay overnight in Lodge.

Day 6: Trek from Ghandruk to Landruk 1640m (3/4 hours).
Our destination today is easily seen across the valley; another attractive Gurung village of Landruk. Unfortunately we must descend to the valley floor to reach it! We slowly descend through rice terraces, with more than 3 thousand of stone staircase until we cross the steel cable suspension bridge that spans the glacial river of the Modi Khola and commence our ascent. As we trek up the many staircases, we enjoy the beauty of the Himalaya at a relatively close range and observe the glaciers flowing from them and feeding the rivers below. It is also a magnificent location and a photographer's delight. Our leisurely approach along these ridges with their fine mountain views ensures proper acclimatization and the un-hurried opportunity to fully savor this magnificent scenery. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 7: Trek from Landruk to Australian Camp 1990m (4/5 hours)
The trail opens onto fields as we approach the village of Landruk with its excellent views of Annapurna South at the head of the valley. Then it is an interesting day as the trail gently glides through forest, and in and out of small gullies, all the time bringing us closer to the mountains. In the rhododendron forests the lush canopy affords protection for the smaller delicate flora, such as primula and daphne. It also provides a haven for birdlife and we can hear their varied calls as we move through. Australia Camp is located on a grassy ridge that affords inspiring views of the huge snowy face of Annapurna South and the sacred peak of Machapuchare. At dusk we can appreciate the lights of Pokhara. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 8: Trek from Australian Camp to Kande (1/2 hours) and drive to Pokhara.
This morning we will have good views of Annapurna massif and Fishtail. Our trail then winds downhill through terraced fields and mixed oak and rhododendron forest. There is no need to rush. This is a short day with plenty of time to Pokhara. The drive to the road head to Pokhara takes around one hour. Once again arrival in Pokhara, you are greeted with sights of the entire Annapurna Range and Machhapuchre. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 9: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Early in the morning after breakfast, our car drive to airport, flight back to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes and our car will pick up and transfer to hotel.

Day 10: Final departure to international airport as per your flight schedule.

Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory and can be treated end of the trip if satisfied.

P.S. In case of Emergency Evacuation during the trip, Helicopter Rescue will be arranged by Mystique Nepal Himalayan Trekking & Expedition (P) Ltd within 1-2 hours in first call. The cost of the rescue must be paid by the clients themselves or insurance company.

There will be a cancellation fee of 30% for any cancellation unforeseen problems shown one month prior to Trekking/Tour departure date, a cancellation fee of 50% two weeks prior to Trekking/Tour departure date and no refund thereafter. No refund for no shows & delay arrivals whatsoever reason.
